Week 2 Leg journey After two days cast-free and claiming my legs feel silly Galileo returns to hospital for his second set of leg casts. If you are new to this journey of serial leg casting to correct toe walking see here for an explanation, and here for Week 1. For Week 2 the casts are at 2 degrees on the left and I believe 5ish degrees on the right foot. I am not sure about the right.
Someone is a couple of kilograms heavier. Galileo has his double leg casts on to treat his idiopathic toe walking. Two little casts on two little legs. I want to try and document the process to shed some light on this type of treatment. A nice overview of why Galileo is having serial casting can be found here. In summary he has exclusively toe walked his entire life and now has muscle contraction in his legs, primarily in his heel.
